Letting Pak Weinata go home to the Father
There is Jesus in my life, this is not bombastic or over-the-top diction
There is Jesus in my life, this is not bombastic diction
There is a Jesus in my life, this is not a hallucinatory phrase born from a dream world
There is Jesus in my life, it's a statement of faith borne out of empirical experience
In the ICCU room of Imanuel Hospital, he gave me a new breath
When I saw Jesus in my life, it was a statement of faith born out of empirical experience
When I was strangled by asthma, over twenty years ago
In Fatmawati Hospital, in Setia Mitra Hospital, in RSCM, in PGI Cikini Hospital, in beds of suffering everywhere
He was present.
He is present whispering words of empathy wrapped in true love
He strengthens my household
I am there to whisper words of empathy wrapped in love.
He gave me various talents
He strengthened my household
He guided the path of our family life
He gave me various talents
He pours an overflow of blessings into the vessels of my life
He is the author of my life.
To overflow and overflow
He is present in the ups and downs that are wrapped around my life
He is everything
He is everything to me in His all-consuming love
He takes over, the struggles, the tears, that wet my shabby body
There is Jesus.
There's Jesus in my life
I am proud to have Him living in my life
I've never regretted stepping out with Him
Now I long to live with Him
I am proud to walk with Him
In the atmosphere of eternity without being limited by time and space
There is Jesus in my life! Such is the determination of Weinata Sairin. He never wanted to hide his identity as a follower of Christ. He never felt inferior as a Christian. Mr Wein is one of the Christian leaders who is familiar with all circles, across faith and culture, even across professions.
Today, Tuesday 29 August 2021, Rev Weinata Sairin returns to his heavenly Father's house. His longing to dwell in the atmosphere of eternity with Jesus received an answer. Mr Wein passed away 5 days after his 75th birthday a few days ago. The man who loved reading and writing was born in Jakarta, 23 August 1948. He received his primary and secondary education in public schools. Weinata recalled that he never learnt Christianity at school, but Islam. Fortunately, his father and mother were very concerned about the spirituality of their children. Even as a teenager, Weinata was expected by his father to become a pastor.
