Sungailiat Bible Week 2025, Day 1.

"Bible for all!" The little voices of kindergarten to second grade elementary school children echoed at GBI Air Merapin on the morning of September 5, 2025 at 9:30 am. They carry tables, drawing paper, and coloring equipment in their little hands. Ready to compete, they gathered at the church landing with their parents who wrote their names on the participant list.

That morning, the atmosphere was busy. The organizers and the LAI team were preparing the facilities. The arrangement of the room, the laying of the carpet, and the installation of the sound system were done carefully and in detail.

 

The LAI publication exhibition team also prepared various children's publications that added to the colorful nuances seen on the side of the church courtyard. That day, the cheerful atmosphere was palpable.

 

Finally, at 9:30 a.m., the competition began. Mr. Rajiun, as the committee member of Sungailiat Bible Week 2025 moderated the competition, encouraging the children who were ready to color their papers.

 

About 160 children registered to participate in this competition, coming from the area around Sungailiat, Bangka. "This is a lot of new registrants today!", said Mrs. Carolina, one of the committee members in charge of refreshments, with a laugh. Although surprised, this made her even more excited to prepare the food for the participants.

 

The long-awaited activity finally began, as the children swiftly drew their colored pencils. Sketches that were only black-and-white outlines began to fill with color.

 

From the front of the competition room, there were serious faces who were ambitious to color the story of life, even if only in pictures. Finally, by 12:00, the competition was over. The children collected their creations.

 

The overall result of the competition will be announced at the closing service of Sungailiat Bible Week, September 7, 2025, at GBI Air Merapin.

 

S Sungailiat Bible Week 2025 at GBI Air Merapin will be held until September 7, 2025. There are still various other interesting activities such as TB2 Bible seminars, Social Media Wise, Quiz, Drawing, and of course the Bible Museum Exhibition. After this, Bible Week 2025 will be held still in Bangka, namely in Pangkalpinang on September 9-11, 2025.
