Running With CBN at Gelora Bung Karno

CBN Family Run, June 22, 2024

 

Saturday morning, June 22, 2024, one of the Indonesian Bible Institute's partners, Cahaya Bagi Negeri or CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) has successfully organized a Family Run attended by many families from various Churches, institutions, and other Christian communities at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta.

 

 

The enthusiasm of participants in participating in this family running event has been seen since the beginning of the day registration was opened. Until the day of the event, there were around 800 registered participants who came to join this event. On this occasion, the Indonesian Bible Institute also supported as a media partner in the publication.

 

The excitement was already felt as early as 6:00 a.m., where participants of various ages started to get ready at the location. At 06:30, the warm-up at the CBN base camp was as lively as a flashmob dance attended by many people. Not to be outdone, children as young as toddlers and elementary school children started running with their parents and friends at 7am, when the 'start' signal was sounded.

 

 

Mardysius, CBN's Head of Digital Marketing, also one of the initiators of this event explained that this activity was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Cahaya Bagi Negeri, as well as to commemorate Indonesian Family Day. In addition, through this event, CBN wanted to introduce their 'The Parenting Project' program. This is a special parenting teaching program that CBN created for parents in churches. Mardy also added that through the Family Run, CBN wants to show young people that Christian activities can be just as fun. Hopefully, with the success of this event, it can be a trigger for other Christian events and activities that can embrace more young people.

 

 

The event included performances by the trio RPD_World, Kezia Kaithlyn, Maria Gabriella, Yosi Mokalu, and many more. The MC also looked and sounded very 'cool', attractive, and communicative in guiding this series of events. Besides the excitement of the song and dance performances, hysterical sounds of fun were also heard from the sponsor booths, as well as the Superbook booth which is CBN's own product, where families played games together. All in all, it was a lot of fun and excitement.

 

For about four hours, the festivities at Plaza Utara lit up Gelora Bung Karno. Finally, towards noon the activity ended. For your information, this activity was also held simultaneously in 11 other cities in Indonesia today.
