The year 2019 is a Jubilee Year (a special anniversary) for Christians in Indonesia and specifically for the Indonesian Bible Institute (LAI). In 2019 LAI will celebrate its 65th anniversary. LAI will celebrate all these anniversaries while giving thanks for the partnerships it continues to build with churches and Christian institutions. Partnerships in the fields of Bible translation, publication-production, Bible dissemination, as well as Bible reading through the New Bible Readers program, seminars, and Bible Tour Packages.
All these celebrations will be carried out by LAI with and in the midst of the Church in Indonesia. This is a form of continuity and commitment to the partnership that aims to enable LAI and the Churches to move together into the future.

The celebration in 2019 was also a moment to remember every day that has passed in the partnership and togetherness between LAI and the churches as a gift from God alone. These days are often times that are not easy to get through, nor are they easy to live through. However, they are now part of a moment to reflect in order to give thanks for the past, celebrate the present, while looking forward to all that is new in the future. In this way, celebrating births and anniversaries becomes a moment to also lay and strengthen hope for sustainability.
Sustainability is almost always synonymous with the younger generation, therefore in this year of celebration LAI sets the main target of this celebration and commemoration is for those who are 35 years old and young adults. A number of activities will be held in Jakarta and in the 4 LAI representative regions in togetherness with Indonesian Christians. All activities will be held during February & December 2019, with organizers by the committee as well as through departmental activities in partnership with churches and Christian institutions.

The main activities of LAI's 65th Anniversary are organized through five forms of activities, namely:

- Bible Seminar.
- Worship and Celebration:LAI 65th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service and Partner Appreciation, Britama Arena, Mahaka Square, North Jakarta, Saturday, February 9, 2019
- Bible Engagement: Bible Encounters and Connections
- National Children & Youth Bible Jamboree, Batu Tapak, Cidahu, Sukabumi, July 4-7, 2019
- Bible Week (Balikpapan, Tarakan, Tanjung Selor & Berau, September 2019 and Kediri, Malang, Tulung Agung, & Magelang, November 2019)
In addition to all the activities above, there are other activities that are also part of the celebration series but which are organized by the relevant technical departments, for example: celebration of the UBS Day of Prayer (May 9, 2019), Bible Day of Prayer (September 9, 2019), publication launches, seminars and discussions.
