The Lauje tribe is one of the tribes in Indonesia that mostly lives in Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Also known as the Daya Tribe and is one of the five isolated tribes living in Donggala Regency, the Lauje Tribe is one of the inland tribes whose daily lives use local languages in communicating with each other. In fact, most of the residents do not understand Indonesian because the location of the settlement is quite far from the capital of the District, so most of them rarely interact with coastal or valley communities whose daily lives use Indonesian. In realizing the vision of the Indonesian Bible Institute (LAI), namely "The Word of God Reaches All Generations", LAI strives to continue to provide spiritual literacy not only for adults but also for children, one of which is by publishing the Good News Picture (KBB) in local languages.

This year, the Indonesian Bible Institute will be working on the Lauje language. Through the Lauje language, it is hoped that the children of the Lauje tribe, who do not understand Indonesian, can understand the salvation work of the Lord Jesus from an early age and make the Word of God a strong foundation of faith in the Lord Jesus because the KBB is made in a language they understand and with attractive pictures.

3,000 copies of the Lauje KBB will be published by LAI, which requires funds of Rp. 315,000,000. The longing of Lauje children to read Spiritual literacy in their mother tongue is very strong, but economic and geographical factors are a problem for them so they cannot have Spiritual reading. Therefore, LAI invites Friends of the Bible, both individuals and communities, to take part in the publishing of the Lauje Language Bible.
