Strategic Collaboration of Asia-Pacific Bible Institute Digital Ministries in Bali
Nusa Dua, Bali, 24-26 February 2026, The warm atmosphere and spirit of collaboration was felt since the first day of the Digital Ministry Collaboration 2026 organised by the Indonesian Bible Society in Nusa Dua, Bali. This event is a continuation of the Digital Ministry Consultation (DMC) 2024 in Jakarta. If DMC 2024 focused on consultation and strategy formulation, then this year's meeting emphasised on collaboration and concrete implementation.
Regional Participation and General Secretary Attendance
The meeting was attended by representatives of Bible Societies from various countries in Asia-Pacific, including the United Bible Societies, Bible Society in Cambodia, Ceylon Bible Society, Mongolian Bible Society, Pakistan Bible Society, Malaysian Bible Society, Korean Bible Society, Myanmar Bible Society, as well as online participation from the Bangladesh Bible Society.
This year, Class 1 was specially joined by three General Secretaries, who play a crucial role in the evaluation, review, and development of each institution's digital strategy:
- Sigit Triyono General Secretary of the Indonesian Bible Society
- Pisit Heng General Secretary of the Bible Society in Cambodia
- Azhar MustaqGeneral Secretary of Pakistan Bible Society
They were with Emi Beland and Nelson Saba (United Bible Society) and Victori E Saetakela (Head of Digital Services and Development Department) followed session DMC Evaluation, Review & Preview and App Development, discussing digital service strategies at the institutional level. The presence of these General Secretaries affirmed strategic collaboration and cross-border decision-making.
Class 2: Technical Training and Content Management
The remaining participants took part in Class 2, those focusing on the technical aspects of digital services:
- Technical Training by InMotion
- Managing Content Using IBS Multitenant App Platform
Both of these classes ensure that in addition to strategy, the practical skills of managing digital platforms are equally built.
From Discussion to Real Implementation
Over the course of three days, participants combined strategic reflection and technical training:
- The Generative AI and Prompt Engineering sessions formed the basis for the development of the digital platform.
- Parallel classes reinforce practical application and content management skills.
- The last day is filled with presentations of group work results, coding training, and discussion forums.
In addition to formal sessions, togetherness was also established through meals and fellowship activities, strengthening relationships between participants from various countries.
Digital Ministry Collaboration 2026 shows that digital transformation is not simply the adoption of technology, but a strategic collaboration that combines institutional roles and technical competence of the team. This meeting is a real milestone in building relevant, adaptive, and impactful biblical ministries for the entire Asia-Pacific community.
