“ It is written: Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God," Jesus declared as recorded in the Gospel of Matthew (Matt. 4:4)

Full and abundant life according to Christ is not only measured by enough clothing, enough food, enough money. Man also needs the word of God as spiritual food. So, blessed are those who have the ease of reading and obtaining the Bible.

In urban areas the Bible is easy to obtain, but the situation is different for our brothers and sisters who live in remote areas of the country. Many of them do not have Bibles due to economic hardship or geographical inaccessibility. This situation is also felt by our brothers and sisters who live in Laubaleng, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. Many of God's people living in the rural areas of Laubaleng do not have Bibles in their homes. They also have difficulty worshipping because the road access is not yet qualified and many roads are damaged.

The people of God in Laubaleng long to read God's word every day in their homes, not just during Sunday worship. However, this is only a hope. When Sunday comes, the congregation there only listens to the word through the sermon of the pastor or rama.

Friends of the Bible, let us join hands to realise the hopes of the brothers and sisters in Laubaleng. The presence of the Bible will be the most beautiful gift that will strengthen their faith and inspire them to live their lives every day.
