Mangupura, 11 June 2026 – Efforts to strengthen ministry collaboration between the Indonesian Bible Institute (LAI) and churches in Bali continue through various strategic opportunities. One of them was seen when the LAI Mitra Bali Support Raising Working Group (KKPD) attended the Convocation of Pastors and Vicars of the Protestant Christian Church in Bali (GKPB) which took place at the GKPB Synod Office, Jalan Raya Kapal, Mengwi, Thursday (11/6/2026).
The forum that brought together all GKPB pastors and vicars throughout Bali was opened by the Chairman of the GKPB Synod, Bishop Si Bagus Herman Suryadi, along with the General Secretary of the GKPB Synod, Rev. I Ketut Edy Cahyana. On the sidelines of the convention agenda, the LAI Mitra Bali KKPD had the opportunity to introduce the new management as well as convey the direction of the ministry that will be carried out in the Bali region.
The presence of KKPD was enthusiastically welcomed by the Synod and the participants. The momentum is considered to be the first step to build more intensive communication between LAI and church ministers in various congregations.
Representing the LAI Partner Bali Working Group, I Made Reka Swartika explained that the existence of this working group aims to connect LAI's ministry with churches through various programmes oriented towards strengthening faith and spreading the Bible. He also expressed his appreciation to GKPB for being a partner in supporting various ministry activities. According to him, the cooperation that has been established is an important foundation to bring more extensive and impactful services.
She hopes that the communication that has been built can continue to be maintained so that pastors and churches continue to provide space for KKPD to convey information about LAI's programmes in the future.
“Through this togetherness, we want to build a ministry that strengthens each other, so that the mission of presenting the Bible to the people of Indonesia can continue to run with the support of all elements of the church," he said.
Participation in the GKPB Pastors and Vicars Convocation is also an affirmation of LAI Mitra Bali's commitment to continue expanding the network of partnerships across congregations. By promoting the spirit of collaboration, the organisation hopes that the Bible ministry in Bali will grow and be able to answer the spiritual needs of the people in the midst of the dynamics of the times.
