Sharing Love to the Ends of the Earth 2025

 

Happy new year, prosperous greetings. The new year is full of new spirit and hope. We never know what tomorrow will bring. However, we believe that Allah, the Lord of Time, will always be with us and accompany our struggles every day. God is our source of help and salvation.

 

Looking back over 2024, we give thanks for God's grace and blessings that accompanied the ministry journey of Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia (LAI). God is present through the support of LAI's partners who enable LAI to carry out its ministry mandate in the areas of: translation, publishing, Bible engagement, Bible advocacy, and witness and service. The faithfulness of partners and friends of LAI in various regions has brought joy to brothers and sisters who long for and need the ministry of the Good News.

 

A servant of God serving in the Mamuju area of West Sulawesi, Rev. Esthepianus L. Mesakh, gave his testimony, "We are very grateful to God because LAI once organized illiteracy eradication classes (PBH) or New Bible Readers (PBA) in 2009-2010 in the Mamuju area," he said. "There are three  PBA alumni who were then trusted by the community to serve as hamlet heads. Two of them have finished their tenure, while the other one is still the head of the hamlet to this day," continued the servant of God who serves at the West Sulawesi Christian Church (GKSB) Nasareth Congregation, Pambui. When the LAI PBA program took place, there was no school in Pambui and the surrounding area, and many residents were still unable to read.

 

Another testimony was delivered by Rev. Kolmali Kol Manimari, a servant of God serving at the Evangelical Church of Timor (GMIT) in Bikoen-Amarasi Timur, NTT. He was touched and welcomed with gratitude the presence of the LAI team who came to bring Bibles and children's spiritual readings, which had long been awaited by God's people in that remote area.

 

There are many more stories of testimonies and joy of people who have felt the impact of the ministry of LAI and its partners. All made possible by the prayers, resources and donations of Friends of the Bible partners in various regions.

 

In 2025 LAI again invites you to answer God's call and support the ministry of LAI  as stated in the book Sharing Love to the End of the Earth (BKSU) 2025 as follows:

1.      The Bible translation, costing: Rp. 2,700,000,000,-

2. Publication and Distribution of the Bible, which cost: Rp. 17.743.000.000,-

3.      Bible engagement, which cost: Rp. 4.724.924.000,-

May our synergistic fellowship and partnership continue throughout 2025 and the years to come for the realization of our shared vision of "God's Word Reaching All Generations". May God continue to accompany us as God's coworkers in spreading and presenting the Good News to the ends of the earth.
