Song, Joy, and the Word: Harmony in Symphony for the Land.

Organization of Love Symphony Concert For My Country 2.

In an effort to spread the Bible to God's people, the Indonesian Bible Institute (LAI) continues to present ministry programs that strengthen the commitment of Bible Friends and partners in supporting this noble mandate. One of them is the Symphony of Love for My Country 2 music concert, initiated by the LAI Surabaya Support Gathering Working Group (KKPD), and organized together with the LAI Surabaya Representative.

The concert featured Regina Ivanova and Harvey Malaihollo as the main guest stars. However, the stage that night also served as a space for many spiritual music talents, such as the GKA Elyon Pregolan Bunder Choir, Eliata Choir, Gloria 2 Christian Junior High School Choir, Efrata Choir, Alouisia Choir, and other performers. Accompanied by the Stradivari orchestra group, this night of praise was a beautiful “ audio gift ”. Not to be left out, the Living Worship team from Mawar Sharon Church also took part, accompanying the music that invited participants to praise and worship God, adding to the vibrant colors of this night of singing.

Symphony of Love for My Country 2 is an event organized by LAI's KKPD together with LAI Surabaya Representative, as a continuation of the first Symphony of Love for My Country in 2024. Receiving a good response from the participants who attended last year, the concert was held again yesterday, November 21, 2025, at the Mawar Sharon Church building (GMS) Cempaka.

On November 21, 2025, Surabaya was hit by heavy rain in the afternoon. A few hours before the start of Simfoni Kasih Untuk Negeriku 2, the rain had not stopped. However, something unexpected happened. One by one, the participants who had registered themselves appeared, and re-registered at the committee table. Apparently, the heavy rain did not hinder their enthusiasm to praise God together. Since 3 p.m., the sound of music had been heard in the room, accompanying Mr. Harvey Malaihollo's rehearsal session and check sound. Not only Mr. Harvey, all performers and organizers also made various technical and non-technical preparations.

Around 6:00 pm, the program began. On this occasion, Mr. J.B. Bardiyono Wiyatmojo representing the LAI board, as well as Mr. Junaidi as the head of the LAI Surabaya KKPD delivered remarks and gratitude, starting the series of events that would take place.

The musical blend of the Living Worship team with the Stradivari orchestra was harmonious, bringing to life the hymns of the offering, which were also sung by the audience. Rev. Jacob Tri Handoko, as the preacher, spoke about how important it is for us to praise and glorify God. This is in line with the theme "Let the One Who Breathes Praise God". Praise is not just a word or a song. When truly practiced, it will come alive and impact us.

That night all the performers gave their best performance. Mr. Harvey Malaihollo, who turned out to be 63 years old, still managed to bring the audience together in his praises. Of course, Regina Ivanova was the "flame" that lit up the room that night, more than the building's lighting. She performed the song "Miraculous You are God" beautifully, accompanied by the Living Worship team band that blended sweetly with the Stradivari orchestra. Unexpectedly, he invited all participants to come forward to sing this song with him. Out of the usual classical orchestra concert, this atmosphere makes the audience more free to express themselves. This rare moment was electrifying, making the song feel more alive as everyone sang more freely at that moment.

Finally, after several other events took place, at around 9:00 pm, the entire program was completed. Participants were happy, and enthusiastic to further support the provision of Bibles for rural Indonesia. Approximately 1400 people came to witness this precious moment. May God's name be glorified and His word be accepted by all.

All proceeds from the concert are dedicated to the effort of providing Bibles to those who need them, especially in rural areas of Indonesia.
