Yauwaika! Greetings from Enggano Island. Enggano Island is located southwest of Bengkulu city, a small island directly bordering the Indian Ocean and is one of the outermost islands in Indonesia. Its geographical location is far and difficult to reach, making Enggano an isolated island from the city center. This condition is what moves the Indonesian Bible Institute (LAI) together with partners to greet and share the Good News for God's people in Enggano, through the Satu Dalam Kasih (SDK) program.
A total of 1,500 copies of TB2 Bibles and 400 copies of Bible Comics have been joyfully received by churches, including GPdI Patmos, GPdI Ekklesia, GPdI Filadelfia, GEKISIA, GBI Kinonosari, GPdI Ka Ana, GPdI Kayapu, GPdI Siloam, PKPE Malakoni, PKPE Baboyo, PKPE Dakaho, and Advent Church. This data is based on the results of a survey previously conducted by the LAI R&D team.
The LAI team and supporting partners visited three Bible distribution locations, namely GPdI Ekklesia, GPdI Siloam, and GBI Kinonosari. The congregations welcomed our presence very well and enthusiastically. Thanks were repeatedly expressed, as a form of gratitude for the presence of the Word of God that has been longed for.
The Bible distribution was done symbolically to some representatives of the congregation, both adults and children. Later, the distribution of the Bible will be handed over to each church.
In addition to the Bible distribution, on July 25, 2024, there will be the launching of the Enggano language New Testament for God's people there. Preparation after preparation has been made. May the spirit of evangelization continue for the glory of God's name. [zvp]
