LAI'S PARTNERSHIP AND PETRA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY
From behind the grand doors of Petra Christian University Surabaya's entrance hall, a historic moment was created on Saturday afternoon, May 4, 2024. The Indonesian Bible Institute (LAI) and Petra Christian University united their steps through the signing of a cooperation agreement in the service of the Good News. From LAI, the Chairperson of LAI, Rev. Henriette H. Lebang, who was accompanied by Erna Yulianawati, Head of LAI's Communication and Partnership Development Department, and Hana Ferren, Surabaya Representative Staff.
From the host, Petra Christian University, welcomed R. Arja Sadjiarto, Vice Rector for Resources. He was accompanied by Sepridel Hae Tada. Equally interesting, Petra Christian University also brought a large force of their representatives. R.Arja Angka A.A.A. Sadjiarto, Vice Rector for Resources, who was accompanied by, Sepridel Hae Tada, from Pusroh UK Petra and Felix Pasila, as the representative of PT Lentera Edukasi Global – Petraverse.
"Petraverse", an artificial intelligence (AI) based software developed by Petra Christian University, took center stage. Through stunning animated images and diverse language options, "Petraverse" offers more than just information about the campus. Petraverse is able to bring Bible stories into the digital age in an engaging way. Thus, the program is not only an attraction for students, but also a source of inspiration and wisdom for the general public.
It is hoped that the collaboration between LAI and Petra Christian University will not only bless students and the community through the development of "Petraverse", but will strengthen the use of the Bible in daily life, enrich spiritual experiences, and bring light in the midst of darkness. In an ever-evolving digital universe, this partnership is the starting point of a journey that inspires and educates people to love and live the Word of God again, for in essence man lives not by "bread alone" but also by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (cf. Matthew 4:4). (hf)
