Human beings are endowed with a mind that provides us with various opportunities to develop and grow according to the creativity born from our thought process. But there are times when we must humbly admit that there are certain limitations and restrictions that we have. This realization makes us a humble person.

The passage we read this time contains a similar message to the previous verse. Leviathan is highlighted again. After previously being told about how mighty and fearsome Leviathan was, Leviathan is now shown as a creature whose defenses are impenetrable. Any creature has weak points, Leviathan does not. His flesh is untouchable, his heart as hard as millstone, any weapon that tries to attack him will be destroyed.

Mud and sand are traversed like a threshing cart; the deepest pits and seas are like cauldrons in which fragrant spices are cooked, their traces luminous. People of the past have marveled at the mysteriousness of the unexplored sea but to Leviathan, the sea is meaningless because he has mastered it. There was no equal on earth, he was the king of fierce beasts. However, he is also a creature of God, he is very dangerous, but not free to run rampant.

The stories of Leviathan and Behemoth reveal the unexplored mysteries of humanity and demonstrate our limitations. It seems that in the midst of all human inventiveness, we are still frail creatures. This realization should bring a sense of humility and a desire to depend more and more on Him. God is the owner of everything including all things that are unreachable by our intellect. So lean on Him and acknowledge our limitations because He will equip us.
