Life is indeed full of uncertainties. Especially these days, we increasingly find these words being fulfilled to the fullest through the various crises that hit our lives. However, in any difficult situation, we always have two choices: to turn against God by relying on outside forces or to remain faithful to the promise of God's everlasting presence.
In Isaiah chapter 25, the world is also described as experiencing a great crisis. The difference this time is that God is levelling and overturning those who have previously ignored His existence. The enemies of the faithful are finally destroyed. They are the rulers of the world who run their governments as they please and ignore the weak and the marginalised.
Now God Himself will establish His marvellous salvation, He makes the impossible possible. The oppressed and weak will be delivered by God. This confirms that God's salvation and inclusion is not just about spiritual matters, but the whole of human dignity and existence. At the time of God's salvation, anyone who plays with truth, justice and does not repent will be cut off (verse 5). The fate of Moab in this passage describes the fate of all hard-hearted and arrogant people and nations (verses 10-12). As a result of these actions, the saved people will enter into a condition and era of life full of joy and feasting (verses 6-8).
Friends of the Bible, it is a desire for us as believers to see the fulfilment of God's promise of provision in all the difficulties of this life. But that is the true quality of hope, when we persevere and follow Him in spite of all the difficulties and pressures. So strive to always live in the values and decrees of God alone.
