Life in relationship with God is a life that is fully grounded in God's love and provision, so that we are able to see everything through the lens of divine providence. Joy and sorrow, laughter and tears, suffering and happiness always have a full meaning in life.
In our current reading, Isaiah affirms that while God declares His judgement, it never lasts forever. The promise of God's restoration is revealed through the fertility that God will bring to Lebanon. The land will be turned into an orchard. The deaf will hear and the afflicted will rejoice in the Lord.
The nation of Israel is invited to look beyond what is happening in the present. Sorrows, challenges and struggles may come and go, but God's love extends beyond what is visible. What seems barren to man can be fertile ground in God's hands. What seems impossible is the beginning of God's restoration. God will restore the condition of Israel. From a heart directed toward God to a better living situation than ever before.
Bible friends, let us live our lives with hope. We may be facing various challenges and trials, but rest assured that God is designing a beautiful path for everyone who surrenders and depends on Him. Therefore, keep walking in the light of God's hope. Life will always be in the light of His plan.
