The Islamic hymn above was sung melodiously by a choir of employees of LAI Printing in Halal Bihalal after celebrating Eid al-Fitr 1446 H on April 11, 2025 yesterday. Uniquely, those who sang it consisted of Muslim and non-Muslim employees. As with other holidays such as Christmas, Eid al-Fitr and Halal Bihalal celebrations in the LAI Printing environment are also celebrated together by all employees and employees, both Muslim and Christian. Tolerance and kinship have become daily life among employees from the leadership to the staff.
In her remarks, the Chairperson of LAI, Rev. Dr. Henriette Hutabarat Lebang, stated that halal bihalal, if seen from the meaning of the word, means to unravel the tangled threads and clear the water. So, according to her, halal bihalal is the right moment and opportunity for all of us to unravel the tangled threads, clear our hearts and minds. The opportunity for us to connect and repair relationships with others, forgive each other.
More explicitly Mrs. Ery stated that the moment after Eid al-Fitr is an opportunity for us to follow the teachings of the Bible, return to the way of God and renew our relationship with God and others. So that we walk in God's way and obtain His forgiveness.
The moment of returning to God's way is in accordance with the annual theme of LAI 2025: Biblical Spirituality, which is a spirituality rooted in Scripture. Every person who reads the Scriptures, his heart and mind will be purified and enabled to walk in truth.
On the other hand, the General Secretary of LAI, Dr. Sigit Triyono in his speech shared his experience in Eid this year through the story of three encounters: with village and regional leaders in Nanggewer, with a cousin, with his neighbor who is an ustad. Through these moments of encounter, he realized that our presence can give meaning and joy to others. Just visiting and being present can make friends and relatives relieved and for a moment relieve fatigue, strengthen friendship.
Mr. Sigit on the other hand also reminded in line with the remarks of the Chairwoman about the importance of walking in truth, obeying the rules and upholding discipline in life. Closing his speech, he reminded LAI employees to pray hard and work hard to do their best.
Halalal bihalal activities were closed with a group photo and lunch together. Hopefully, the moment of forgiving each other, familiarizing each other continues to be cultivated every day, not just on holidays. Bible greetings to all
