Learn to Create Content, Become a Blessing Through Social Media

Early morning since 08.00 local time, Bunga' Lalan Building has been filled with 97 teenagers from various schools in Rantepao, Toraja, and surrounding areas. They were preparing to participate in the Digital Literacy activity, which is part of the Toraja Bible Week 2025 series. While the teenagers were busy taking care of registration, Kak Reggy Leo, the resource person for this activity, was seen sitting among the participants, occasionally mingling and interacting with them and the organizers. That morning, there was a warmth in the cold city of Toraja.

At 09.00, the digital literacy seminar started again, all participants enthusiastically followed and listened to the material presented by Kak Reggy. In his delivery, he again explained about how to create content on social media well. Reggy Leo himself is a Christian content creator, where the content he creates is mostly aimed at the mission of recognizing the Word of God. He explained that every piece of content he creates goes through a long process, hoping to be a blessing and foster a love for the values of God's Word. This is the main foundation of the material he presented in this seminar. In addition to creating content, Reggy also elaborated on the pillars of digital literacy, so that participants are not only technically fluent in using their social media, but also responsible in using it.

As he did during Sungailiat Bible Week last September 2025, he uniquely formulated the pillars of digital literacy into an acronym: C.A.B.E., which feels familiar. C.A.B.E. stands for Capable, Safe, Cultural, Ethical, which are parts of the pillars of digital literacy. In addition, Kak Reggy also explained how to find material for content using the AI application from the Indonesian Bible Institute, ALIN (Interactive Bible). ALIN is an application created to help users learn and explore the Word of God. After hearing the material, participants were invited to practice creating visual content using the software on their respective mobile phones.

Too soon, the practice session ended, all participants succeeded in creating their visual content. Apparently, they explored a lot, and produced content with a variety of variations. It seems that they really digested what was explained by Reggy, the resource person for this activity. The event ended, and the best content results were announced.

Everyone rejoiced, and went home with new knowledge about content creation and digital literacy. The hope is that young people in Toraja can be a blessing, spreading the values of God's word through their social media.
