Last September the deployment team together with the LAI museum visited two schools in West Jakarta, TKK Kasih Kemuliaan and Regina Pacis Jakarta in the LAI Goes To School activity. During the visit, there was an exhibition of Bible objects and book tours as well as an interactive word presentation that succeeded in making students and teachers enthusiastic. At TKK Kasih Kemuliaan, the students and teachers were very happy with the activity of coloring pictures of Bible characters, David & Goliath. The children competed to produce the best drawings to get prizes from the LAI team. While at Regina Pacis Kindergarten Jakarta, the most enthusiastic activity for students and teachers was the exhibition of Bible objects and interactive stories, where the mascot David was present in their midst.
In line with LAI's vision: "God's Word Reaches All Generations", this LAI Goes To School activity aims to make God's word accessible to young children in a fun way through exhibitions of Bible objects to interactive stories. And the good news is, both students and teachers were happy to receive the word. Mrs. Diyah, the principal of Regina Pacis Jakarta Kindergarten said that this activity is very appropriate for children aged 3-5 years old because at that age they can get to know the history of the Bible early on. And Mrs. Indah, the principal of Kasih Kemuliaan Kindergarten felt that the presence of LAI made the children have a valuable experience, in addition to the surprise of the presence of David's mascot in the middle of the event, the children became competitive during the coloring activity.
