Every action we choose and take comes with its own consequences. As believers, the awareness of consequences is placed on the conformity with all His words, will, and example. However, even when we live in God, there are still challenges. The wicked are always there and are no small obstacle. They undermine ferociously, express their dislike for the believer's choice of life, and display a way of life that is so contrary to God's decree.
The psalmist in our passage pleads for God's protection from the wicked. He is pressed by the enemies who pursue him. The Lord alone is a source of help in His steadfast love. He is confident that God will not put him to shame, it is the wicked who will be put to shame.
Protection comes to those who fear and are faithful to Him. That is an inevitability that believers throughout history have also witnessed. God seems to hide those who are faithful to Him in the shadow of the Lord's own face. He protects and hides them from the evil conspiracies that would threaten the righteous. For these great and marvelous deeds of God, the psalmist invites all God's people to participate in the procession of praise and worship to God through all their lives.
Bible friends, let us live our lives wisely. The world offers many choices that provide shortcuts and momentary pleasures, but God in His word guides us to live according to His will. Even if it means we have to deal with different values and opposition from many people around us who want to lead us to the transience of life. If we remain in submission to Him, then God will always show us His protection and help. All the struggles of life are faced in that help.
